 This focuses on four of the UN SDGs: (12) Responsible consumption and production; (3) Good health and wellbeing; (14) Life below water; and (15) Life on land.

We want to help our customers make positive choices and we believe that they need good and accurate information to do this. That is why we have developed a series of guides to help buyers, suppliers and caterers understand the different standards, accreditations and certifications for food and catering supplies.

Our Healthy Living Working Group supports this and has developed a range of policies and pledges around sugar and salt reduction, palm oil, free from ranges and animal welfare to ensure responsible sourcing.

The renewed interest in local food has helped to play a part in this. The importance of British and regional produce has been vital to us for some time but we feel that these have been given greater momentum recently as customers increasingly want regional food options.
