Whether you’re a school caterer in search of inspiration to increase meal uptake or a chef in a bustling pub, Premier Foods has a portfolio of products to meet your needs and the needs of your customers, helping you to create fantastic meal solutions.
Premier Foods is one of the UK’s largest branded food suppliers to the catering industry, representing some of the nation’s best loved brands including Bisto, Ambrosia, Sharwood’s, Batchelors, Homepride, Bird’s and McDougalls, giving you the opportunity to produce dishes with the familiar taste that your customers know and love.
The majority of the supplier’s foodservice products are produced in Britain which means that finished products travel fewer delivery miles, have full traceability and provide the provenance your customers demand.
Wherever possible, Premier Foods is committed to sourcing ingredients locally.
For almost 100 years, Ambrosia has been capturing the goodness of Devon for British consumers to enjoy, whether in home or out of home. Today, as it did in 1917, lorry loads of milk are delivered fresh to the Ambrosia Devon creamery in Lifton. Around 700,000 litres of milk is bought by Premier Foods every year. Ambrosia brand milk based products proudly carry the Red Tractor logos, meaning that all milk can be traced back to the farm it came from and assures food safety, good animal welfare, hygiene and environmental protection through every part of the food chain.
Premier Foods’ manufacturing sites are located across the UK and the company has just invested significantly in their Carlton factory in South Yorkshire with the introduction of a brand new manufacturing line for Mr. Kipling snack packs – an innovation that has reinvigorated the cake category and given consumers portion controlled treats. The Mr. Kipling brand alone uses 700 tonnes of Bramley apples a year for its delicious apple pies.
These are just a few examples to highlight the company’s commitment which remains unwavering: wherever possible, Premier Foods will source locally.
