Following the launch of the second annual Bisto Care Caterer of the Year competition, in partnership with Country Range, the five finalists have been unveiled. Following last year’s success and as part of its continued dedication to the healthcare sector, Premier Foods has once again paired its well-known and trusted gravy brand, Bisto, with the leading independent foodservice brand, Country Range.
Representing the high calibre of care home caterer across the UK and competing against each other for the winning prize of £1,000 for their care home will be; Kevin Price, Oulton Abbey Care Home, Staffordshire; Emilia Horodinc Chirila, Coopers Croft Care Home, Potters Bar; Barry Dart, Park Lane Nursing Home,Barnstaple, Devon; Simon Lewis, Gracewell, High Wycombe and Adriano Carvalho, Gracewell, Newbury
The Bisto and Country Range final, taking place at Premier Foods’ head office on the 12th September, will see the finalists prepare and cook three portions of their chosen main meal and dessert within a 90 minute time frame. Each caterer must include a Bisto product within their main dish and a Country Range product in their dessert dish, with a total budget of £2.25. Judging the dishes will be Louise Wagstaffe, Culinary Advisor at Premier Foods, and Emma Holden, Group Marketing Manager for the Country Range Group.

We saw some incredible dishes last year and I’ve no doubt having seen the shortlisted entries, that this year will be no different.”

The five finalists will be competing for the chance to win a £1,000 for their care home as well as a £250 John Lewis voucher for themselves.
